1. Introduction

Welcome to Folk Form, where patterns tell stories and culture speaks.
This document outlines the policies governing your shopping experience with us at folk-form.com. We are dedicated to bringing the rich tapestry of Asian, particularly Vietnamese, cultural heritage to the world through exquisite, high-end, handcrafted silk scarves and apparel. By using our website and placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Website Usage & Account Responsibility

  • Eligibility: You confirm you are at least 18 or using the site under parental or guardian supervision, with legal capacity to contract.
  • Promotional Communications: Opt-out available via the unsubscribe link in emails.
  • Accuracy: We strive for accuracy. Handcrafted variation is expected and described in our Return & Refund Policy. Significant discrepancies should follow that policy.
  • Account Security: If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and restricting access to your account.

3. Pricing, Currency & Taxes

  • Transaction Currency: All final transactions are processed in United States Dollars (USD).
  • Displayed Prices: Product prices are shown in USD and represent the item cost before shipping or any custom surcharge.
  • Currency Conversion: Any display of prices in local currency is an estimate based on fluctuating exchange rates. The final charge is in USD.
  • Shipping Costs: Free on orders of $90 or more. Orders under $90 carry a shipping fee shown at checkout before payment. See our Shipping Policy for detail.
  • Import Duties & Taxes for United States orders: Folk Form pays the import duty. The amount you confirm at checkout is the final amount you pay. Nothing further is owed when the parcel arrives. If a carrier bills you for import duty in error, send us the receipt and we refund it in full.
  • Import Duties & Taxes outside the United States: duties and taxes vary by local regulation. Where prepaid duties are available for your destination they are shown at checkout. Otherwise they remain the recipient's responsibility.
  • Custom-Made Surcharge: A 10% surcharge on the base item price applies to custom orders, calculated after measurement confirmation and invoiced separately before production begins.
  • Your Bank's Fees: Your bank or card provider determines the final exchange rate and may add international transaction fees. These are your responsibility.
  • Pricing Accuracy: We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before processing, and will contact you to confirm or cancel if one occurs.

4. Returns

Thirty days from delivery, unused, unwashed, in the original gift box. If the fault is ours we cover postage both ways. If you simply changed your mind you cover the return postage, and store credit carries a fifteen percent bonus. Full terms are in our Return & Refund Policy.

5. Accepted Payment Methods & Secure Processing

  • Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others shown at checkout, processed through an encrypted, PCI DSS compliant gateway.
  • Digital wallets: Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Bank Transfer: Direct transfer in USD. Please allow 1 to 3 business days for funds to clear before processing begins. Proof of transfer may expedite this.

Payment notes:

  • Full payment required: processing begins only after successful receipt of full payment.
  • Custom surcharge: handled separately via secure link before custom production starts.
  • No cash on delivery for international orders.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including motifs, designs, patterns, logos, text and images, is the property of Folk Form and protected under international intellectual property law. Our motifs are redrawn by hand from archive sources by our own studio.

7. Governing Terms

The English version of these terms is controlling and prevails over any translation. Terms may change, and changes take effect on posting. We encourage contacting customer service first to resolve any concern. Should direct resolution fail, these terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Folk Form is registered, and parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation before formal legal action.

Liability is limited to the product purchase price. If any part of these terms is deemed unenforceable, the remainder stays valid.
