Picture her at a gallery evening, the silk kimono dress falling in one clear line from shoulder to hem, the hand-printed trim catching the light each time she turns. From across the room it reads as a single soft color; up close, the border reveals its drawing.
Cut from 100% mulberry silk in our Hanoi atelier, the dress carries a trim screen-printed by hand the way we print our scarves, then cut and set into the seam so the border runs cleanly along its edges.
Belt it at the waist and it becomes a dress; leave it open and it moves behind you as a long silk layer. Sizes S, M and L for US 4 to 14, with made to measure for an extra 10% of the listed price.
We pay the import duty, not you.
Shipping is free at this price. Orders leave Hanoi in 1 to 3 business days, then take 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Made to measure adds 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before dispatch.
A border of print, a field of silk
The trim frames the silk and leaves the rest of it quiet, so the eye settles on the sheen of the cloth and the way it moves. At a distance the dress is one color; closer in, the border shows its hand-printed motif.
That drawing begins in our studio, redrawn by hand from archive photographs of Ly and Tran Dynasty art and laid down one screen, one color at a time, with the same care we give a silk scarf.
For a minimalist wardrobe, that single heritage detail is all the ornament the dress needs.
Two ways to wear it
As a dress Closed at the waist with flat sandals or a low heel, the silk swaying a little as she walks in to dinner.
As a long layer Open over a white T-shirt and straight trousers, the printed edges framing the outfit like a line drawn in ink.

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. The kimono cut falls loose from the shoulder, so it skims rather than fits close.

US 16-18 and beyond, up to a 46 in / 117 cm bust. Made to order in our Hanoi atelier. Reply to your order confirmation with your bust, waist, sleeve and preferred length. Our team confirms within one business day, and tailoring adds 3 to 5 business days before dispatch. Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead.

Plain silk through the body keeps the price below our fully printed kimono dress at $457. The trim is still printed by hand and set into the seam, and the dress is still cut to order in Hanoi.

How long does it take?
S, M or L: 1 to 3 business days in Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before dispatch.
What if it does not fit?
S, M or L: return within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, and one complimentary alteration is included instead.

How to care for it
Dry cleaning is recommended. Point out the printed trim so it gets a gentle press.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it in cold water, never in a machine, and dry it in the shade.
