A retirement party, a book launch, the night the team toasts you: picture the silk kimono dress moving as you cross the room, the print catching the lamplight along the sleeves as you lift your glass. Everyone is looking at you on purpose that night, and the dress is ready for it.
Cut from 100% mulberry silk, it carries a Vietnamese heritage motif across the whole garment. Each panel is hand screen-printed in our Hanoi atelier and placed so the motif runs unbroken from shoulder to hem.
Sizes S, M and L, US 4 to 14, with made to measure for an extra 10% of the listed price.
We pay the import duty, not you.
Free shipping, and nothing to pay on arrival. Allow 1 to 3 business days before dispatch from Hanoi and 9 to 15 business days of US delivery. Tailoring for made to measure adds 3 to 5 business days.
Printed on both faces
Turn back a sleeve and the print is there as well: we print both faces of the silk, and each face goes through the screens on its own.
On a kimono that detail matters, because the sleeves and front edges fold back as you move and gesture, and every fold shows the same deep print as the outside.
Before any of that, the motif is redrawn by hand in our studio from archive photographs of Ly and Tran Dynasty art, then separated into one screen for every color.
For the evening
Closed at the waist As a dress, with a simple heel and no necklace, so the print has the evening to itself.
Open Over a black slip dress or black trousers, the printed silk falls as a long layer that sways behind you.

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. The kimono cut falls loose from the shoulder, so it skims rather than fits close.
- S - US 4-6, bust 34-35 in / 86-89 cm
- M - US 8-10, bust 36-38 in / 91-97 cm
- L - US 12-14, bust 39-41 in / 99-104 cm

Made to measure, +10%
US 16-18 and beyond, up to a 46 in / 117 cm bust. Made to order in our Hanoi atelier. Reply to your order confirmation with your bust, waist, sleeve and preferred length. Our team confirms within one business day, and tailoring adds 3 to 5 business days before dispatch. Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead.
Is it real silk?
Yes, 100% mulberry silk, printed through on both faces.

What $457 buys
The price comes from the printing: the whole garment is hand-printed on both faces, then matched panel by panel from shoulder to hem.
It is cut to order in our atelier and shipped free, with US import duty paid. The plain-body version with a printed trim is $277.
Will it arrive before the dinner?
S, M or L: 1 to 3 business days in Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before dispatch.
Order three and a half weeks before the date, or a week more for made to measure.
What if it does not fit?
S, M or L: return within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, and one complimentary alteration is included instead.

How to care for it
Dry cleaning is recommended. Tell the cleaner both faces are printed.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it in cold water, never in a machine, and dry it in the shade.
