A gift that goes up the org chart is a narrow target. Too little and it looks like an afterthought. Too much, or too intimate, and it gets awkward in the office. A printed silk necklace sits in the right place: thoughtful, well made, and nothing that needs a size.
Each bead is wrapped by hand in purple printed mulberry silk, cut from cloth we screen print for our scarves. About 180 of them over wooden cores, 44 inches around, no clasp.
We pay the import duty, not you.
Orders leave Hanoi within 1 to 3 business days and arrive at US addresses 9 to 15 business days later. A flat $20 below $90, free at $90 or more.
Why purple for a woman you work for
Purple is the color we suggest for a female boss. It carries a little formality, it sits well with gray, navy and black suiting, and it avoids the romantic signal of red or pink.
The printing adds substance. Each design traces back to Ly and Tran Dynasty art, drawn again by hand from archive photographs and screened one color at a time. Around each bead you see a fragment of it, so it reads as rich color in a meeting and as drawing up close.

Why $75
Every color on the cloth is its own screen and its own pass, all before a single strip is cut. After that, around 180 beads are wrapped and knotted in place by hand.
Plain silk skips the press and costs $64. There is no precious metal in either. Both come out of our own Hanoi atelier and travel to you directly.
Will it arrive for Boss's Day or the holidays?
1 to 3 business days in our workshop queue, 9 to 15 business days in transit.
Boss's Day is October 16. For that, a farewell or a year-end thank-you, order 18 business days ahead, about three and a half weeks. For Christmas delivery in the US, we recommend ordering by November 27.
Duties and returns
Duties: we pay the US import duty, so she is never charged.
Returns: 30 days, unused and unworn, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is paid by you. Store credit adds 15%.

The gift box comes with it and the parcel shows no price, which makes it easy to give in the office. Your message goes in Order Notes and we write it by hand on a card.
