The phoenix is the motif for a mother
In Vietnamese royal art the phoenix is the empress's bird, paired with the emperor's dragon. Ours comes from Ly and Tran temple carving, drawn in the soft, flowing Ly style.
Its feathers carry five colors, one for each of the five elements, and it moves through cloud holding a pearl. The meaning is grace, and the sense that things are well.
We print it in pastel tones because the meaning asks for them. Pastel green keeps it soft.

The phoenix is still printed by hand in Hanoi, one color per screen, and the tank is still cut to order in our atelier. Shipping and US duty are included.
Will it arrive for Mother's Day?
One size: 1 to 3 business days in Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before dispatch.
Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May, so order by mid-April.
What if it does not fit her?
One size: return within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, and one complimentary alteration is included instead.

Caring for it
Dry cleaning is recommended. Include a note that it is silk, so it does not go in the machine.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it in cold water, never in a machine, and dry it in the shade.
