At his daughter's engagement lunch he turns the tie to the window, and the pale pink warms to coral where the dragon coils.
The Ly Dynasty dragon, woven in silk, with cufflinks to match.

Pink on a tie takes a calm man. It suits the father who leads a table without raising his voice and who is happy to be noticed for it.

The cufflinks come in the same soft pink, in one rigid box with the tie, so nothing is left for you to match or wrap.

Every line of the dragon is woven into 100% mulberry silk jacquard. The tie measures 8 cm by 145 cm and is made in our Hanoi atelier.

We pay the import duty, not you.

1 to 3 business days to leave our Hanoi atelier, then 9 to 15 business days to reach you in the US. Shipping is free on this set, as on all orders $90+.

A dragon in a softer color

A dragon from the Ly Dynasty court is a gentle creature. Its artists worked in Thang Long, the Hanoi of today, where the imperial citadel was begun in 1010.

The Ly dragon has a smooth, scaleless body that curves like a stream, a flame rising from its nose and a thunder character on its brow. It belongs to a rice-growing people, for whom thunder promises rain and rain promises food on the table.

On this tie the dragon is woven in coral and dusty rose over a pale blush ground, with small checks running underneath. The sheen lifts the pink in bright light and settles it in the shade. In Vietnamese art the dragon stands for strength, wisdom and success, and the gentle color makes that feel generous rather than severe.

How he will wear it

Navy suit Pink against navy is a clean, classic pairing for a wedding or a daytime ceremony.

Light gray suit A softer, summery look, with the coral of the dragon doing the talking.

White shirt Lets the blush ground glow and shows the cufflinks at the wrist.

Cufflinks and width The cufflinks need double (French) cuffs. The tie is 8 cm, the standard width for almost every lapel.

Is it real silk?

Yes, 100% mulberry silk, woven as jacquard with the dragon in the weave.

ELLE Vietnam and Harper's Bazaar Vietnam have both covered our studio.

Why $224

$224 buys both pieces, a woven dragon tie and the pink cufflinks. Take the tie by itself and it is $167, so the cufflinks add $57.

We pay the US import duty on it, and it arrives boxed, so there is nothing left for you to wrap. The set alone is above the $90 line, so shipping is free.

Does he wear French cuffs?

Look for a cuff that folds back on itself with no buttons. That is a double (French) cuff, and the cufflinks need one.

A shirt that buttons at the wrist cannot hold cufflinks. For that man, the dragon tie alone is $167 and still a complete gift.

Will it arrive in time?

For Christmas delivery in the US, we recommend ordering by November 27.

1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address.

Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks, from the day you order.

Duties and returns

Duties: we pay the US import duty, so nothing is owed at the door.

Returns: 30 days, unused, unwashed and unworn, in the original box. If you changed your mind, the return postage is yours. Take store credit instead of a refund and we add 15%.

Sending it to him

Enter his address as the shipping address and yours as billing. Write your note in Order Notes and we copy it by hand onto a card. No price travels in the parcel.

A new business A dragon for a fresh start, in a color that is friendly across a desk.

A graduation For a son or a nephew who has finished something hard and will wear a suit often now.

A leader who is easy to work for The thank you for a boss or a mentor who lifted the room.

For another color The Emerald set and the Blue Jade set are woven geometric ties with cufflinks, $191 each.

How to care for it

Dry clean only. Never wash it, by hand or in a machine.

Untie it by reversing the knot. Do not pull the narrow end through.

Hang it or roll it loosely between wears.

Folk Form Silk Jacquard Necktie: Elegance & Sophistication for Every Style

Celebrate the essence of a gentleman with luxurious designs crafted from premium silk jacquard, seamlessly blending artisanal craftsmanship with global standards.

  • Necktie – A Gentleman’s Style Statement

Folk Form proudly presents a product line of handcrafted necktie made from jacquard, woven by 100% mulberry silk fiber. More than just an accessory, a necktie is a statement of style. Each design blends colors, patterns, woven texture and fine craftsmanship to create a distinctive, unmatched elegance. Perfect for every occasion—from the office to grand events—it ensures gentlemen exude sophistication and charm wherever they go.

  • History Of The Necktie

The origin of the necktie is widely debated with traces found in ancient Egypt, Rome and China. Egyptians wore necktie to signify status, Roman soldiers used them for warmth, and Qin Dynasty warriors had silk ones. In the 17th century, Croatian soldiers presented neckties to France, where King Louis XIV popularized them. From there, neckties spread across Europe, evolving into their modern form in the 1920s. October 18 is now celebrated as International Necktie Day.

  • A Symbol Of Sophistication

A necktie is more than just an ordinary fashion accessory—it is a bold symbol of sophistication. With a single necktie, a gentleman can transform his style, from the classic elegance of the 1920s to the refined charm of the 21st century. Rather than following fleeting trends, Folk Form honors minimalism and timeless factors through meticulously crafted neckties—designed not for the masses, but for those who truly understand the essence of luxury.

NEED HELP?

Before you order

When will it arrive?

Every order leaves our Hanoi atelier within 1 to 3 business days. U.S. delivery takes 9 to 15 business days after dispatch, and tracking is emailed the moment it ships. Buying for a date? Email Folkformint@gmail.com right after you order and we will expedite wherever we can.

What does shipping cost? Will I owe import duty?

Shipping is free on orders of $90 or more and a flat $20 below that, shown before you pay. On U.S. orders we pay the import duty, so nothing is owed at your door. If a carrier ever bills you for duty, send us the receipt and we refund it in full.

Is it ready to give?

Yes. A tie needs no size, which makes it the easiest silk gift to get right. It arrives in a rigid gift box with a story card. Add a message at checkout and we write it by hand. There is never a price inside the parcel.

What is it made of?

Every tie is 100% mulberry silk jacquard: the pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed on top, so there is no ink layer to crack at the knot. Each one is made in our Hanoi atelier.

Which width should I choose?

8cm is the classic width and suits almost every lapel. 6cm is slimmer, for narrow lapels and slim-cut suits.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unworn, in its original box. If something is our fault, we pay postage both ways. On U.S. orders under $100 we also offer a gift exchange: if it is not right for him or her, email Folkformint@gmail.com with your order number and we issue store credit for the full price of the piece, and you do not need to send it back. One gift exchange per order and per household. Otherwise, if you changed your mind you cover return postage, and choosing store credit instead of a refund adds 15%.

How do I care for it?

Dry clean only. Untie it by reversing the knot, then hang it or roll it loosely overnight and the creases fall out on their own.
