A beach wedding has a dress code even when the invitation does not spell it out. Nothing stiff, nothing that fights the wind, and never white. A beige linen dress answers all three.
This is our 1930s strap dress. The cut falls straight from the shoulder, with no print and no fuss. The cloth is a plain-woven linen and rayon blend, and each dress is cut to order in Hanoi.
S, M or L covers US 4 to 14. For anything else, made to measure adds 10% of the listed price.

Why beige is the guest color on a beach
Etiquette leaves a wedding guest almost every color except white. On a beach, beige is the easy answer. It sits with sand, driftwood and linen tablecloths, and it never competes with the bride in a photograph.
The dress carries no pattern. Our silk scarves are printed with motifs from Ly and Tran Dynasty art, but the linen line is deliberately plain: one color, the texture of the weave, and tailoring that stays out of the way.
A straight 1930s line means the dress skims the body instead of gripping it, which is what you want through a long ceremony and a reception that moves onto the sand.
Wearing it to the wedding
For the ceremony Flat sandals, because heels sink. Add one point of color with a silk scarf at the neck or on your bag.
For the reception Change into a heel if the party moves to a deck or a restaurant floor. Nothing else needs to change.
If the ceremony starts in a church Layer a fine white shirt under the dress for covered shoulders, then take it off for the beach.
After the trip It goes back into ordinary summer life with sandals and a tote.

Larger than US 14, or want a different length? Every dress is cut to order in our Hanoi atelier, up to a 46 in / 117 cm bust. Reply to your order confirmation with your bust, waist and preferred length. Our team confirms within one business day, and tailoring adds 3 to 5 business days before dispatch. Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead.
Is it pure linen?
No, it is a blend. The cloth is plain-woven from linen and rayon. We would rather you knew that here than guessed.
Why $170
$170 is the top of our linen range, which begins at $105. Our silk clothing starts at $173, so even this dress costs less than any silk garment we make.
What you pay for is a dress cut after you order, in our own atelier, and shipped straight to your door with the US import duty covered. Made to measure adds 10%.
Will it arrive before the wedding?
Standard sizes: 1 to 3 business days before dispatch, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Order at least three and a half weeks before you fly.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring. Give it about five weeks.
What if it does not fit?
Standard sizes: 30 days to return it, unworn and unwashed, in the original box.
If you simply changed your mind, the return postage is yours. Store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: not part of the 30-day return. One complimentary alteration is included instead.
