The lid lifts and the tissue falls away, and blue silk lies on top with a pale chain pattern that catches the light link by link, the cufflinks beside it repeating the same links.
A blue woven silk tie with cufflinks to match, for the father asked to stand beside the groom.

A father at a wedding is dressed to be looked at kindly and photographed from every side. Blue is the color he already trusts, and the chain pattern gives it something to show in the pictures.

The tie is a deep blue woven in jacquard, with a pale cream chain running through it in linked shapes. The cufflinks repeat the chain, so the gift arrives as one matched set.

Made in Hanoi from 100% mulberry silk jacquard, the tie measures 8 cm by 145 cm.

We pay the import duty, not you.

1 to 3 business days to leave our Hanoi atelier, then 9 to 15 business days to reach you in the US. Shipping is free on this set, as on all orders $90+.

Linked shapes, no hidden meaning

The pale links form a geometric repeat and carry no symbolism, so the reason to give it is how it wears and who gives it.

Up close the chain reads as fine cream lines looped through each other on a blue ground, and from a few steps back it settles into a quiet texture.

A pattern this small keeps blue from looking flat on a day of photographs, when the light changes from room to room and the camera comes in close.

Woven jacquard puts the links in the threads, so they stay crisp at the knot and along the blade.

Around the wedding day

Navy or charcoal suit The blue sits close to the suit while the pale chain gives the tie its own line.

Light gray suit A daytime wedding suit, with the blue as the one deep note.

White shirt The cuffs show the matching links when he lifts a glass.

Cufflinks and width The cufflinks fasten through double (French) cuffs, and 8 cm is the standard width for most lapels.

Is it real silk?

Yes, 100% mulberry silk, with the pattern woven into the cloth.

ELLE Vietnam and Harper's Bazaar Vietnam have both covered our studio.

Why $191

$191 buys the whole set, cufflinks included. The tie alone, in one of our woven geometric patterns, is $142, which leaves $49 for the cufflinks.

The US import duty is ours to pay. The box arrives ready to give, so nothing is left to wrap.

Does he wear French cuffs?

Look at the cuffs on his dress shirts before ordering. A double (French) cuff folds back on itself with no button, and the cufflinks fasten through it.

If his cuffs button, send the tie alone: the blue chain tie is $142.

Will it arrive in time?

For Christmas delivery in the US, we recommend ordering by November 27.

1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address.

Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks, from the day you order.

Duties and returns

Duties: we pay the US import duty, so nothing is owed at the door.

Returns: 30 days, unused, unwashed and unworn, in the original box. If you changed your mind, the return postage is yours. Take store credit instead of a refund and we add 15%.

Handing it over

Enter his address as the shipping address and yours as billing. Write your note in Order Notes and we copy it by hand onto a card. No price travels in the parcel.

From the groom Asking his father to stand beside him, with something to wear while he does.

From a daughter A gift for the father who walks her down the aisle.

From a wife For the anniversary dinner, with cuffs to match.

For a paler tone The White Jade set is a pale tone, also $191.

How to care for it

Stains go to a dry cleaner, never to a sink.

Undo the knot in reverse at the end of the day.

Roll it loosely or hang it so the silk can rest.

Folk Form Silk Jacquard Necktie: Elegance & Sophistication for Every Style

Celebrate the essence of a gentleman with luxurious designs crafted from premium silk jacquard, seamlessly blending artisanal craftsmanship with global standards.

  • Necktie – A Gentleman’s Style Statement

Folk Form proudly presents a product line of handcrafted necktie made from jacquard, woven by 100% mulberry silk fiber. More than just an accessory, a necktie is a statement of style. Each design blends colors, patterns, woven texture and fine craftsmanship to create a distinctive, unmatched elegance. Perfect for every occasion—from the office to grand events—it ensures gentlemen exude sophistication and charm wherever they go.

  • History Of The Necktie

The origin of the necktie is widely debated with traces found in ancient Egypt, Rome and China. Egyptians wore necktie to signify status, Roman soldiers used them for warmth, and Qin Dynasty warriors had silk ones. In the 17th century, Croatian soldiers presented neckties to France, where King Louis XIV popularized them. From there, neckties spread across Europe, evolving into their modern form in the 1920s. October 18 is now celebrated as International Necktie Day.

  • A Symbol Of Sophistication

A necktie is more than just an ordinary fashion accessory—it is a bold symbol of sophistication. With a single necktie, a gentleman can transform his style, from the classic elegance of the 1920s to the refined charm of the 21st century. Rather than following fleeting trends, Folk Form honors minimalism and timeless factors through meticulously crafted neckties—designed not for the masses, but for those who truly understand the essence of luxury.

NEED HELP?

Before you order

When will it arrive?

Every order leaves our Hanoi atelier within 1 to 3 business days. U.S. delivery takes 9 to 15 business days after dispatch, and tracking is emailed the moment it ships. Buying for a date? Email Folkformint@gmail.com right after you order and we will expedite wherever we can.

What does shipping cost? Will I owe import duty?

Shipping is free on orders of $90 or more and a flat $20 below that, shown before you pay. On U.S. orders we pay the import duty, so nothing is owed at your door. If a carrier ever bills you for duty, send us the receipt and we refund it in full.

Is it ready to give?

Yes. A tie needs no size, which makes it the easiest silk gift to get right. It arrives in a rigid gift box with a story card. Add a message at checkout and we write it by hand. There is never a price inside the parcel.

What is it made of?

Every tie is 100% mulberry silk jacquard: the pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed on top, so there is no ink layer to crack at the knot. Each one is made in our Hanoi atelier.

Which width should I choose?

8cm is the classic width and suits almost every lapel. 6cm is slimmer, for narrow lapels and slim-cut suits.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unworn, in its original box. If something is our fault, we pay postage both ways. On U.S. orders under $100 we also offer a gift exchange: if it is not right for him or her, email Folkformint@gmail.com with your order number and we issue store credit for the full price of the piece, and you do not need to send it back. One gift exchange per order and per household. Otherwise, if you changed your mind you cover return postage, and choosing store credit instead of a refund adds 15%.

How do I care for it?

Dry clean only. Untie it by reversing the knot, then hang it or roll it loosely overnight and the creases fall out on their own.
