He opens the box the evening before the new job begins, and navy silk lies folded inside, a fine woven grid under tiny red dots that glint where the light crosses them, the cufflinks tucked beside it.
A navy silk tie with red dots and cufflinks to match, for the man starting something new.

A new title usually brings a new room to walk into, and navy is the safe place to begin. The small red dots are the detail that tells people the tie was chosen with care.

The ground is a deep navy woven as jacquard, and the red dots sit far enough apart to read as a quiet accent from a distance. The cufflinks come in the same navy, so tie and cuffs match.

100% mulberry silk jacquard in a tie 8 cm wide and 145 cm long, from our Hanoi atelier.

We pay the import duty, not you.

1 to 3 business days to leave our Hanoi atelier, then 9 to 15 business days to reach you in the US. Shipping is free on this set, as on all orders $90+.

Dots with no code to crack

The red dots are a geometric accent with no symbolic meaning, so the tie earns its place through how it looks at the collar and who gives it.

Across a desk the tie reads as solid navy; lean closer and the weave shows as a fine grid, with each red dot sitting in it like a stitch of color.

Navy is the tie a man wears when he wants to be taken seriously, and the red dots give the colleagues who notice something to remember.

The dots and the grid are both woven, so the surface has a fine texture under the hand and the knot keeps the pattern intact.

From Monday morning on

Charcoal suit Navy and charcoal give a calm, serious line, with the red as the single bright note.

Navy suit Tonal and composed, the dots catching the eye only at close range.

Light blue shirt A clean daytime pairing for a first week.

Cufflinks and width The cufflinks go through double (French) cuffs. The 8 cm width is the standard cut for most jackets.

Is it real silk?

Yes, 100% mulberry silk, with the pattern woven into the cloth.

ELLE Vietnam and Harper's Bazaar Vietnam have both covered our studio.

Why $191

The set is $191 with the cufflinks included. By itself, a woven geometric tie is $142, so the cufflinks account for $49 of the price.

We pay the US import duty on this set, and it comes gift boxed with the tie and cufflinks already together.

Does he wear French cuffs?

A quick check saves a return: his dress shirts need double (French) cuffs, the kind that fold back on themselves without a button.

If his cuffs button, the tie on its own is the better choice: the blue micro dot silk tie is $142.

Will it arrive in time?

For Christmas delivery in the US, we recommend ordering by November 27.

1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address.

Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks, from the day you order.

Duties and returns

Duties: we pay the US import duty, so nothing is owed at the door.

Returns: 30 days, unused, unwashed and unworn, in the original box. If you changed your mind, the return postage is yours. Take store credit instead of a refund and we add 15%.

Marking the occasion

Enter his address as the shipping address and yours as billing. Write your note in Order Notes and we copy it by hand onto a card. No price travels in the parcel.

From a partner A tie for the Monday after the good news.

From parents For the first job, with a pair of cufflinks he will keep.

From a team One set, signed by everyone on the card.

If red dots are too much The Blue Jade set is another blue, also $191.

How to care for it

Stains go to a dry cleaner, never to a sink.

Undo the knot in reverse at the end of the day.

Roll it loosely or hang it so the silk can rest.

Folk Form Silk Jacquard Necktie: Elegance & Sophistication for Every Style

Celebrate the essence of a gentleman with luxurious designs crafted from premium silk jacquard, seamlessly blending artisanal craftsmanship with global standards.

  • Necktie – A Gentleman’s Style Statement

Folk Form proudly presents a product line of handcrafted necktie made from jacquard, woven by 100% mulberry silk fiber. More than just an accessory, a necktie is a statement of style. Each design blends colors, patterns, woven texture and fine craftsmanship to create a distinctive, unmatched elegance. Perfect for every occasion—from the office to grand events—it ensures gentlemen exude sophistication and charm wherever they go.

  • History Of The Necktie

The origin of the necktie is widely debated with traces found in ancient Egypt, Rome and China. Egyptians wore necktie to signify status, Roman soldiers used them for warmth, and Qin Dynasty warriors had silk ones. In the 17th century, Croatian soldiers presented neckties to France, where King Louis XIV popularized them. From there, neckties spread across Europe, evolving into their modern form in the 1920s. October 18 is now celebrated as International Necktie Day.

  • A Symbol Of Sophistication

A necktie is more than just an ordinary fashion accessory—it is a bold symbol of sophistication. With a single necktie, a gentleman can transform his style, from the classic elegance of the 1920s to the refined charm of the 21st century. Rather than following fleeting trends, Folk Form honors minimalism and timeless factors through meticulously crafted neckties—designed not for the masses, but for those who truly understand the essence of luxury.

NEED HELP?

Before you order

When will it arrive?

Every order leaves our Hanoi atelier within 1 to 3 business days. U.S. delivery takes 9 to 15 business days after dispatch, and tracking is emailed the moment it ships. Buying for a date? Email Folkformint@gmail.com right after you order and we will expedite wherever we can.

What does shipping cost? Will I owe import duty?

Shipping is free on orders of $90 or more and a flat $20 below that, shown before you pay. On U.S. orders we pay the import duty, so nothing is owed at your door. If a carrier ever bills you for duty, send us the receipt and we refund it in full.

Is it ready to give?

Yes. A tie needs no size, which makes it the easiest silk gift to get right. It arrives in a rigid gift box with a story card. Add a message at checkout and we write it by hand. There is never a price inside the parcel.

What is it made of?

Every tie is 100% mulberry silk jacquard: the pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed on top, so there is no ink layer to crack at the knot. Each one is made in our Hanoi atelier.

Which width should I choose?

8cm is the classic width and suits almost every lapel. 6cm is slimmer, for narrow lapels and slim-cut suits.

Can I return it?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unworn, in its original box. If something is our fault, we pay postage both ways. On U.S. orders under $100 we also offer a gift exchange: if it is not right for him or her, email Folkformint@gmail.com with your order number and we issue store credit for the full price of the piece, and you do not need to send it back. One gift exchange per order and per household. Otherwise, if you changed your mind you cover return postage, and choosing store credit instead of a refund adds 15%.

How do I care for it?

Dry clean only. Untie it by reversing the knot, then hang it or roll it loosely overnight and the creases fall out on their own.
