Vietnam's national dress is a long tunic split at the hip, close through the body and loose below, worn over trousers. This one has short sleeves and is sewn from 100% mulberry silk in our Hanoi atelier.

Shipping is free at this price. Every ao dai is cut to your measurements: allow 1 to 3 business days plus 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before it leaves Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address.
Cut to you, every time
Traditionally an ao dai is cut to the woman who will wear it. The beauty of the garment lives in the line through the bust and waist, the silk following her shape and then falling free, and a standard size cannot trace that line.
So we ask for more numbers than usual: bust, waist, hip, shoulder, sleeve and full length. Our team confirms them within one business day before anything is cut.
It is sewn in the same Hanoi atelier as the rest of our silk clothing; for heritage silk in a looser, easier shape, look at the silk kimono dress.

Tell us your bust, waist, hip, shoulder, sleeve and full length, and we cut it to you at no extra cost. A fitted ao dai depends on those numbers, so we ask for more of them than usual.
Reply to your order confirmation with your measurements. Our team confirms within one business day, and tailoring adds 3 to 5 business days before dispatch. Because it is cut to your measurements, this piece is not covered by our 30-day return and includes one complimentary alteration instead. Not sure how to measure? Is it real silk?
Yes, 100% mulberry silk, cut and sewn in Hanoi.

What $387 includes
The price includes the tailoring. Every ao dai is cut to your own measurements in our Hanoi atelier, with no made-to-measure surcharge.
Shipping and US import duty are included too, so $387 is the full cost.

Will it arrive before Tet?
Processing takes 1 to 3 business days and tailoring 3 to 5 business days once your measurements are confirmed. Delivery then takes 9 to 15 business days to a US address, so allow about four and a half weeks from order to door.
For Tet, count back about four and a half weeks from the date and order before then.
Can I return it?
Because it is cut to your measurements, the ao dai is not covered by the 30-day return. One complimentary alteration is included instead.

How to care for an ao dai
Dry cleaning is recommended. Let the cleaner know it is silk before it is pressed.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it in cold water, never in a machine, and dry it in the shade.
