A dragon at a wedding
In Vietnamese royal art the dragon pairs with the phoenix as Long Phung, the image of a marriage in balance, so a groom in a dragon print carries half of that old wish into the room.
Dragon of Grace takes the Ly Dynasty dragon from Hanoi's imperial citadel, begun in 1010, and repeats it small and in symmetry among bodhi leaves and a lotus pedestal. Across a candlelit room the navy reads as a rich texture, and the dragons appear as a guest leans in to shake his hand.
Its name, May Hoa Long An, speaks of grace granted and never of power held, and on the night before a wedding, grace is the word everyone hopes for. The journal tells more of the meaning of the Dragon of Grace motif.

The navy is printed by hand in our Hanoi studio, one screen per color. The print is matched across the panels, and the shirt is cut to order to a tailored 1870 pattern in our own atelier.
$407 includes shipping and US import duty. The same cut in white linen is $148, if the wedding is on a beach.
Will it arrive before the wedding?
S, M or L: 1 to 3 business days in Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before dispatch.
Order a month ahead, and add a week for made to measure.
What if it does not fit?
S, M or L: return within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, and one complimentary alteration is included instead.

How to care for it
Dry cleaning is recommended. Ask for a light press, on the silk setting.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it in cold water, never in a machine, and dry it in the shade.
