Why a dragon suits a holiday
The Vietnamese dragon started life as a river creature of farming villages, and the Ly Dynasty version still looks like water. It has no scales and three claws, and its long body bends the way a current does.
Dragon Dreams comes from the stonework of Hoang Thanh Thang Long, the imperial citadel in Hanoi begun in 1010. Four dragons at the corners turn toward a bodhi leaf, among lotus and fragrant clouds.
Its meaning is rain and a good year rather than conquest. On pink and turquoise it reads lighter still, closer to a summer print than a royal emblem.

Every shirt is cut to order in our Hanoi atelier. Select Made to measure, then reply to your order confirmation with your bust, waist and preferred sleeve and body length. Our team confirms within one business day, and tailoring adds 3 to 5 business days before dispatch. Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead. Same silk, same hand-printed panel, for an extra 10% of the listed price.
Is it real silk?
Yes, 100% mulberry silk. The panels are cut from the hand-printed silk we make our scarves from.

Every color of the dragon is printed by hand in our Hanoi studio, one screen per color, then matched across the panels.
It is sewn to order in our own atelier and sent direct. US import duty and shipping are included in $215; made to measure is 10% more.
Will it survive a suitcase?
Roll it rather than folding it flat under heavier things.
Silk creases, but hanging it in a steamy bathroom or a low iron on the silk setting takes them out.
Will it arrive before the trip?
S, M or L: 1 to 3 business days in Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before dispatch.
Order at least three and a half weeks before you fly.
What if the size is wrong?
S, M or L: return within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, and one complimentary alteration is included instead.

Caring for it on the road
Dry cleaning is recommended. Keep it away from perfume and cosmetics in the bag.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it in cold water, never in a machine, and dry it in the shade.
