The dragon behind the color
Dragon Dreams is drawn from the stone dragons of Hoang Thanh Thang Long, the imperial citadel in Hanoi begun in 1010. Four large dragons sit at the corners and turn toward a bodhi leaf, with lotus flowers and fragrant clouds between them.
They are Ly Dynasty dragons, and gentle ones: no scales, three claws, a body that moves like a river. The S-shaped mark on each forehead is the character for thunder, which in a rice-growing country meant rain and a good harvest.
The orange and the mallard green take their cue from the pottery and glazes of that period. Warm and deep, they sit easily next to black, navy or gray.

Every shirt is cut to order in our Hanoi atelier. Select Made to measure, then reply to your order confirmation with your bust, waist and preferred sleeve and body length. Our team confirms within one business day, and tailoring adds 3 to 5 business days before dispatch. Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead. Same silk, same hand-printed panel, for an extra 10% of the listed price.
Is it real silk?
Yes, 100% mulberry silk, cut from the same hand-printed silk we use for our scarves.

Why $215
The print is not bought off a roll. Our studio redraws the dragon by hand, prints it in Hanoi one screen and one pass per color, and matches it across the panels of the shirt.
Each shirt is then sewn to order in our own atelier and posted to you with US import duty paid. S, M or L is $215; made to measure adds 10%.
Will it be too bright for the office?
Under a navy or black jacket, a narrow band of orange and green shows down the front, which reads as color rather than costume.
For a calmer version of this dragon, the navy Dragon Dreams shirt is the same cut.
How long will it take?
S, M or L: 1 to 3 business days in Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Allow up to 18 business days, about three and a half weeks.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring before dispatch.
What if it does not fit?
S, M or L: return within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, and one complimentary alteration is included instead.

How to care for a silk shirt
Dry cleaning is recommended. Tell the cleaner it is printed silk.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it in cold water, never in a machine, and dry it in the shade.
