These are the Palazzo 1932 in navy blue, 100% mulberry silk, with Dragon of Grace printed by hand: small Ly Dynasty dragons in an even repeat.

A dragon that wishes for a good harvest

On the forehead of every Ly Dynasty dragon is a small S-shaped mark, the old character for thunder. In a country that grew rice, thunder meant rain, and rain meant the harvest came in.

So this dragon was never about force. It is a wish for a good year, drawn with a soft body, no scales and a pearl held out in offering.

For a season of harvest meals and family tables, the meaning fits, and navy keeps it quiet.

Made to order in our Hanoi atelier. One Size is our standard cut. If that is not your size, tell us yours and we will cut these trousers to you, up to a 46 in / 117 cm hip - same silk, same hand-printed panel, for an extra 10% of the listed price.

Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead.

Is it real silk?

Yes. 100% mulberry silk, printed by hand, the same silk as our scarves.

Why $289

Printed silk in this quantity is the main cost. Every color is pulled through its own screen by hand, and a wide pair of trousers covers a lot of cloth.

Then the print is matched across the panels, and the pair is cut to order and sewn in our Hanoi atelier. Import duty is covered by us, so $289 is exactly what you pay.

Will they arrive before the holidays?

Standard size: 1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi and 9 to 15 business days to a US address, so allow up to 18 business days. For a holiday date, count back about three and a half weeks. For Christmas delivery in the US, we recommend ordering by November 27.

Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days.

Can I return it?

Standard size: 30-day returns, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Return postage for a change of mind is paid by you; store credit comes with an extra 15%.

Made to measure: cut for one person, so it sits outside the 30-day return. It includes one complimentary alteration.
