The phoenix, for a mother
Phoenix Dance is the motif we suggest for mothers. The phoenix is the empress's bird, and here it perches on a bodhi leaf among palace clouds, beside an ancient lotus.
Its meanings are grace, resilience and rebirth. Of the three colors we print it in, pink is the one we pair with a mother.
If she asks, the answer is short: a Ly Dynasty phoenix, from the temple carvings of northern Vietnam.

Is it real silk?
Yes, 100% mulberry silk. The skirt is made from our hand-printed pink Phoenix Dance silk.

The phoenix is printed by hand, one screen for each color, across a skirt cut wide enough to wrap around and overlap.
We match the print across the panels, cut and sew it to order in Hanoi, and post it to her with the US import duty paid. Nothing is owed at her door; $289 is the price.
Will it arrive for Mother's Day or her birthday?
One size: 1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to her address. Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May, so order about three and a half weeks before.
Custom length: add 3 to 5 business days.
What if it is not right?
One size: return it within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Custom length: made to measure, so it is outside the 30-day return. One complimentary alteration is included.
