Why the phoenix belongs at an anniversary
In Vietnamese royal art the phoenix is the empress and the dragon is the emperor. Shown together they are Long Phung, the pair that stands for a lasting marriage and for balance between two people.
Phoenix Dance is the phoenix half of that pair: a Ly and Tran Dynasty bird among clouds, drawn softer than later versions. The Ly phoenix looks closer to a native peacock or pheasant than to the Chinese prototype.

The standard cut drapes loosely on a bust up to 37 in / 94 cm. There is no waist seam, so it skims the body rather than fitting close.

A maxi dress in hand screen-printed silk is a lot of printing: one screen and one pass for each color, over every panel, with the phoenix matched where the panels meet.
We cut and sew it to order in Hanoi and post it to you directly, paying the US import duty on the way. What you see, $386, is the whole cost; made to measure is 10% more.
Will it arrive before our anniversary?
Standard size: 1 to 3 business days in Hanoi, 9 to 15 business days to the US. Order about three and a half weeks before the date.
Made to measure: allow 3 to 5 extra business days.
What if it is not right?
Standard size: you have 30 days to send it back, unworn, unwashed and in its original box. If you changed your mind, the return postage is yours. Choose store credit and we add 15%.
Made to measure: not covered by the 30-day return. One alteration is included, free.
