The bird once called the Mother of the Nation
In Vietnamese tradition the phoenix is the empress's bird, and it was also called the Mother of the Nation. Paired with the dragon it stands for a marriage that lasts, which is why it belongs at a wedding.
Phoenix Dance comes from Ly and Tran Dynasty temple carving, drawn in the flowing Ly style: the bird moves through cloud with a pearl. It was carved to say that the country was at peace and prospering.
For the woman who raised one half of the couple, that is the right message to wear on the day.

Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead.

- Bust, all around: 41 in / 104 cm

The standard cut drapes loosely on a bust up to 37 in / 94 cm. There is no waist seam, so it skims the body rather than fitting close.

You are paying for a full-length dress with sleeves, in 100% mulberry silk printed by hand, one color at a time, from shoulder to hem.
It is cut to order in our Hanoi atelier and sent straight to you, with the US import duty paid by us. $418 is what you pay, plus 10% for made to measure.
Will it arrive before the wedding?
Standard size: 1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Order about three and a half weeks before the wedding.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring, and allow time to send her measurements.
What if it does not fit?
Standard size: return it within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, with one complimentary alteration included instead.

We recommend dry cleaning. Mention that it is silk.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it cold. Never use a machine. Dry it out of direct sun.
