An omen for a new beginning
Vietnamese history tells that a phoenix appeared before King Ly Thai To moved his capital to Thang Long, the city that became Hanoi. It was read as a sign that a new era was starting.
The bird is also half of Long Phung, the dragon and phoenix pair that stands for a harmonious marriage. Phoenix Dance draws it in the soft Ly style, with a pearl and trailing cloud.

Made to order in our Hanoi atelier. One Size is our standard cut. If that is not your size, tell us yours and we will cut these trousers to you, up to a 46 in / 117 cm hip - same silk, same hand-printed panel, for an extra 10% of the listed price.

Once your measurements are confirmed, we send a secure link for the 10% made-to-measure surcharge. Made-to-measure pieces are not covered by our 30-day return and include one complimentary alteration instead.

Yes, 100% mulberry silk, from the same hand-printed silk as our pink Phoenix Dance scarves.

Why $289
Hand screen-printing is slow: one screen for each color, one pass at a time, over every panel of a wide leg. That, and the amount of silk, is most of the price.
The print is matched across the panels, and the pair is cut to order and sewn in our Hanoi atelier. We post it direct and pay the US import duty, so $289 is complete.
Will they arrive before the wedding?
Standard size: 1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Order at least three and a half weeks ahead.
Made to measure: add 3 to 5 business days of tailoring.
Can I return it?
Standard size: 30-day returns, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Return postage for a change of mind is paid by you; store credit comes with an extra 15%.
Made to measure: cut for one person, so it sits outside the 30-day return. It includes one complimentary alteration.
