Three claws, no scales, and a body like a river
The dragon in this print is the Ly Dynasty dragon of Hanoi's imperial citadel, drawn the way carvers drew it in the eleventh century: slender, without scales, with three claws like an eagle's.
It moves in a long, even curve, more like water than like a lizard. Dragon of Grace repeats it small and in symmetry, with carved borders, bodhi leaves and a lotus pedestal in between.
On yellow, that repeat stops the color from shouting. The trousers read as pattern, not as one bright block.
A day in the city

We line the print up across the panels, cut the pair to order and sew it in our Hanoi atelier. It comes to you direct, import duty paid, so $289 is the final figure.
Will they arrive before my trip?
Standard size: dispatched from Hanoi within 1 to 3 business days, delivered 9 to 15 business days later. Order about three and a half weeks before you fly.
Made to measure: tailoring adds 3 to 5 business days.
Can I return it?
Standard size: 30-day returns, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Return postage for a change of mind is paid by you; store credit comes with an extra 15%.
