The flame on a Vietnamese dragon
Look closely at any dragon in this print and you will find a burst of flame at its nose. In Vietnamese art that fire crest means vitality, and it is the detail that separates a Vietnamese dragon from a Chinese one.
The rest of the animal is pure Ly Dynasty: no scales, three claws, a body that curves like moving water. Dragon of Grace draws it small and sets it in symmetry, with bodhi leaves and lotus around it.
At a party, that detail gives you a good story when somebody asks about your trousers.
Party outfits
Black and red A black silk camisole or a fine black knit, black heels. Right for the season.
With a jacket A tuxedo-style blazer on top for dinner before the party.
Metallics A plain gold or silver top works, as long as it has no pattern of its own.
Leave out A printed top or a patterned scarf. One print is plenty.

Is it real silk?
Yes, 100% mulberry silk. The trousers are made from the same hand-printed silk as our scarves.

A palazzo leg is generous by design, 41.7 inches around at the hem, so each pair takes a lot of silk. All of it is hand screen-printed, a screen and a pass for every color.
The print is matched across the panels of each leg, then the pair is cut and sewn to order in our Hanoi atelier and shipped direct with the import duty paid. $289 is the price at your door.
Will they arrive before the party?
Standard size: 1 to 3 business days before they leave Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to a US address. For a party date, order about three and a half weeks ahead.
Made to measure: 3 to 5 business days more for tailoring.
What if it is not right?
Standard size: you have 30 days to send it back, unworn, unwashed and in its original box. If you changed your mind, the return postage is yours. Choose store credit and we add 15%.
Made to measure: not covered by the 30-day return. One alteration is included, free.
