When your bag is small, every piece has to do two jobs. This one does: wrapped at the waist it is a high-low midi skirt, and wrapped around the neck it becomes a halter dress.
It is our Midi Wrap Skirt 3900BC in 100% mulberry silk, printed by hand with Dragon of Grace on red. There is no zip and no fixed waistband; an 86.6 inch tie wraps and knots wherever you want it.
One size that fits US 4 through 18. A custom length is 10% extra.

Why a small repeat suits a piece you knot two ways
Dragon of Grace draws the Ly Dynasty dragon small and repeats it in symmetry. A repeat survives folding far better than one large picture, which matters on a garment you wrap and tie.
Wherever the knot lands, you still see whole dragons, bodhi leaves and lotus rather than half of something. Each dragon keeps its Ly features: no scales, three claws, a flame crest at the nose.
In red it looks busy and warm up close, and from across a room it reads as rich color.
Two ways to wear it
As a skirt Wrap it at the waist and tie it at the side. A black tee or tank, and sandals.
As a halter dress Wrap it high and tie it around the neck. Add a thin belt at the waist if you like.
Shoes Flat sandals at noon, a low heel at night.

There is no size to choose. The tie sets the fit, and the length is the one figure to compare with your height.

Is it real silk?
Yes, 100% mulberry silk. The skirt is made from the same hand-printed silk as our scarves.

Why $289
A wrap skirt needs enough silk to go around the body and overlap, plus a tie of 86.6 inches. All of it is hand screen-printed, one color per screen.
The print is matched across the panels, and the skirt is cut to order and sewn in our Hanoi atelier. It ships direct with the US import duty paid, so $289 is final.
Will it arrive before I travel?
One size: 1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, 9 to 15 business days to a US address. Order about three and a half weeks before you go.
Custom length: 3 to 5 more business days of tailoring.
What if it does not fit?
One size: return it within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Custom length: made to measure, so it is outside the 30-day return. One complimentary alteration is included.

How to care for it
We recommend dry cleaning. Mention that it is silk.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it cold. Never use a machine. Dry it out of direct sun.
