The bird for starting again
Phoenix Dance is the motif we suggest for a friend after her hardest year, and for anyone starting over. The phoenix stands for grace, resilience and rebirth.
This one comes from Ly and Tran Dynasty temple carving, where it signaled peace and plenty rather than any religious duty. It asks nothing of the person who wears it.
We print it in soft colors because the meaning is soft. Pale green suits a slow morning somewhere new.

Yes, 100% mulberry silk, made from the hand-printed silk of our Phoenix Dance scarves.

The phoenix is printed by hand through a separate screen for each color, and a wide palazzo leg gives it a lot of silk to cover.
Each pair is matched across the panels, cut to order and sewn in our Hanoi atelier, then shipped to you with the US import duty already paid. $289 is final; made to measure is 10% more.
Will they arrive before I go?
Standard size: 1 to 3 business days to leave Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days to your door. Order about three and a half weeks before departure.
Made to measure: tailoring takes 3 to 5 business days more.
What if it does not fit?
Standard size: return it within 30 days, unworn and unwashed, in the original box. Change-of-mind return postage is yours, and store credit adds 15%.
Made to measure: outside the 30-day return, with one complimentary alteration included instead.

How to care for it
We recommend dry cleaning. Mention that it is silk.
If you wash it yourself, hand wash it cold. Never use a machine. Dry it out of direct sun.
