A bottle of wine gets opened the same night and a candle burns down in a month. For a host who has cooked for twelve, a yellow silk necklace is a thank-you she can put on before the dishes are done.
The beads are wrapped in our printed mulberry silk, the same hand screen-printed cloth our scarves are cut from. Each bead catches a different fragment of the print. About 180 of them, over wooden cores, on a 44-inch loop with no clasp.
We pay the import duty, not you.
We send it from Hanoi within 1 to 3 business days; US delivery takes 9 to 15 business days after that. Under $90 there is a flat $20 shipping charge. At $90 and up, none.
Why a printed yellow for a host
Yellow is an autumn color that does not look like a costume. Against the browns, creams and dark greens of a November table it reads as warm light, and it keeps working in spring.
The print matters here. Our studio draws every motif again by hand, working from archive photographs of Ly and Tran Dynasty art, and prints it color by color through separate screens. Around a small bead the design shows as a line, a curve, a patch of a second color.
So the strand looks like warm yellow texture from across the table, and like drawing when she holds it. That second look is what makes it feel chosen rather than bought on the way over.
How she will wear it

There is nothing to size. The strand weighs less than a folded scarf.
Is it real silk?
Yes, mulberry silk, hand screen-printed and cut from the cloth we use for scarves, then wrapped over each bead by hand.

Why $75
Two kinds of work go into it. The silk is screen printed a color at a time before it is cut, and then around 180 beads are wrapped and knotted by hand.
Our plain silk necklaces skip the printing and cost $64. There is no metal or stone in either. Both are made in our Hanoi atelier and posted to you directly.
Will it arrive before Thanksgiving?
1 to 3 business days before it ships from Hanoi, then 9 to 15 business days on the way.
Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November. Order 18 business days before it, about three and a half weeks, which covers the full delivery window.
Duties and returns
Duties: we pay the US import duty. Nothing to settle on delivery.
Returns: 30 days, unused and unworn, in the original box. Return postage for a change of mind is yours. Store credit adds 15% to the value.
Bringing it, or sending it ahead
It arrives gift boxed, so you can carry it in as it is. Or ship it to the host directly: her address in shipping, yours in billing, a note in Order Notes that we handwrite on a card. No price travels with it.
