What pink does at this size

Wrapped, against bare skin The reason this color is chosen over the other two. Pink throws warmth up into a face, which matters most on the days a face is not getting it from anywhere else.

Over navy or charcoal Pink against dark tailoring is the oldest trick there is, and at this scale it stops a dark outfit reading as severe without softening it into nothing.

Over cream and camel Tonal rather than contrasting. This is the combination that photographs as expensive and reads in person as effortless.

Over black, deliberately The one that surprises people. A pale pink wrap against black reads as confidence rather than sweetness, because the contrast is too high to be read as soft.

A short note on our motifs:

Buying for a person For a mother, a recovery or a new chapter, the phoenix belongs: the empress's bird, carved as a sign that the land was at peace, and printed in pastels to suit it.

Buying for an achievement To honor a promotion or a leader, give a dragon, whether the four at the corners of Dragon Dreams or the small repeated one of Dragon of Grace.

Buying for a couple For a wedding or an anniversary there are the mandarin ducks, a pair for a pair.

Using it as a sleep wrap

Thirty-six inches holds long, thick or tightly coiled hair through the night with silk to spare, and for shorter or finer hair the 26 inch square is plenty; our guide to which size to choose compares every size.

If you are buying this for somebody in treatment

Size. Thirty-six inches is the one. It covers a head completely with enough left to tie and tuck, and it does not need a second piece underneath. The 26-inch does not.

The phoenix and her meaning

Temple carvers in Vietnam gave each motif a meaning, the lotus purity and the dragon water and a good harvest.

To the phoenix they gave peace: set on beam ends, stair flanks and roof corners, she announced a prosperous land and beauty worth noticing.

With a pearl, she moves through cloud, her five-colored plumage standing for the five elements, all drawn in the flowing line of the Ly and Tran, the age of the One Pillar Pagoda, Phat Tich and Chua Dam.

Washing Easier than people fear, and less often. Silk sheds dust on its own, so every three to five wears is plenty - more often if it is being slept in. Cold water, shampoo or body wash rather than laundry detergent. Squeeze, never wring. Dry in shade, never in sun: pale grounds are where fading and marks show first. Iron on the lowest silk setting while still faintly damp.

Returns Thirty days from delivery, unused and unwashed, in the original box. If the fault is ours, a flaw in the silk, a print error, a seam that failed, postage goes both ways on us and you get a replacement or a full refund. Changed your mind? Distinguishing natural silk from synthetic silk fabrics can be based on various factors such as texture, surface effect, softness, light reflection, and how the fabric reacts to temperature. Among these, the "burn test" is the most effective and definitive method. Here are the characteristics of different materials when subjected to the burn test:

  • Leaves ash that smells like burnt hair, crumbles easily, and does not stick to hands.

Silk blended with synthetic fibers

  • Melts rather than burns.
