A thank-you for the teacher who gave your child a good year.
The dragon on it gives its pearl away.

Teacher Appreciation Week in early May, or the last day of school: moments when a gift card feels thin. We sell this as a set for Mom, and it works just as well for the woman who taught your child to read.

It holds one 26 inch square of Dragon Dreams in pink and turquoise, 100% Grade 5A mulberry silk, printed by hand on both faces. At $97 it feels like a real gift without being an awkward one to receive.

Why this dragon suits a teacher

Every dragon on this scarf holds a pearl. The image comes from the Lotus Sutra, where the dragon offers her pearl rather than guarding it, and the pearl stands for wisdom and compassion.

A teacher spends the year handing over what she knows. A dragon giving away its pearl says that without a speech.

The dragons are Ly Dynasty, taken from the carved stone of Hanoi's imperial citadel, begun in 1010. Pink with turquoise is a cheerful way to wear them: friendly in a classroom, easy with denim on a Saturday.

How she might wear it

At school Knotted at the neck of a plain top or a cardigan.

On the weekend As a headband, or tied around a bag handle.

On a wall A silk square can also be framed and hung, like a print.

From the whole class Split four ways, $97 is under $25 a family.

Can a set for Mom go to a teacher?

Yes. The set is this 26 inch scarf in a gift box. Your handwritten note says who it is from and why.

It costs the same $97 as the pink and turquoise 26 inch sold alone. Nothing in the box is special to the set: every Folk Form scarf ships with the same card, guide and silk cutting.

Is it real silk?

Yes, 100% Grade 5A mulberry silk at 16 momme, checked by an outside lab: the Textile Testing Center of the Vietnam Textile Research Institute.

She can test the small silk cutting in the box herself: burned over a sink, away from anything flammable, silk smells like burning hair and leaves a soft ash, while polyester melts into a hard bead. It is a home check, not lab proof.

ELLE Vietnam and Harper's Bazaar Vietnam have both covered our studio.

Why $97

The edge is rolled by hand and stitched by hand, close to an hour of work.

Two faces, printed one after the other, each color through its own screen. A dragon redrawn from archive photographs by our own studio. One atelier in Hanoi, shipping direct with the duty paid. Worn weekly for five years, under 40 cents a wear.

Will it arrive before the end of the school year?

Allow up to 18 business days: 1 to 3 to dispatch and 9 to 15 to deliver.

For Teacher Appreciation Week in early May, order by mid-April. For the last day of school, count back three and a half weeks.

Duties and returns

Duties: paid by us. Nothing to pay on delivery.

Returns: 30 days, unused and unwashed, in the original box. You cover change-of-mind return postage. Store credit adds 15%.

Handing it over

Ship it home and hand it over yourself, or send it straight to her. Either way it arrives in the rigid gift box and matching bag, ready to give.

Your note Write it in Order Notes; we copy it by hand onto a card.

The meaning The story card names the motif and its dynasty, so the pearl makes sense to her.

No price There is no price in the parcel.

How to care for it

Wash every 3 to 5 wears.

Cold water, with shampoo or body wash. Never laundry detergent. Squeeze the water out; never wring. Dry it in the shade. Iron on the lowest silk setting, faintly damp.

Worn with Ease

Folk Form pieces are chosen and styled in everyday life across different settings, styles, and moments. Each image reflects how silk moves naturally with the wearer, adapting quietly rather than demanding attention.

Prepared with Care

Every Folk Form gift is assembled with attention to detail from the way each piece is folded and placed, to the final presentation of the box.

This process reflects the same values as the product itself: restraint, balance, and care in execution.

A Vietnamese Craft Voice, Recognised Globally

Folk Form’s work has been highlighted by fashion and cultural publications for its thoughtful interpretation of heritage in a contemporary context.
